It is time again for the Front Range Bears Annual Summer Picnic! This year, we are ecstatic to announce that our amazing hosts are once again Butch and Chris (some of you know him as CJ) and Al & Tom! After a year hiatus, they are welcoming the bears back to their beautiful Lakewood home. We thank them for letting us throw one of our largest and most successful events on their property and for being such amazing hosts.
This year our coordinator is Lou DeLucia, he has given his time and experience to make this event the best summer picnic yet!
This year’s pricing is as follows: $10 for FRB Members and $20 for FRB Non-members. Memberships will be available at the time of the picnic!
The club will be providing burgers, brats, dogs, and chicken for your picnic enjoyment. We encourage guests to bring NON-PERISHABLE Side-dishes (no mayo based salads, please.) We will be providing an iced area for any items needing to remain chilled. The club will also provide beer, mixers and ice, however, if you wish to consume something stronger, this event is BYOB. If you want to bring your own special beer, we ask that it be in cans. NO GLASS PLEASE! Port-a-potty services will be available!
We encourage guests to bring their own towels, lawn chairs, and coolers, as there is plenty of room on both sides of the property. Flip flops and/or water shoes are encouraged for hot cement/gravel navigation. Be safe in the sun and bring sunscreen or tanning oil if you are getting your bear summer glow on!
Al and Tom will provide a tent and portable sling for the friskier side of things, and Good Chemistry is sponsoring a "safety area" for those interested! More info soon on these two items!
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions. All volunteers will enter the event free of charge for their support of this event. Please note, these spots are not limited to just FRB Members.
